Maior leilão de vinhos do Novo Mundo chega a 40ª edição

Com uma rara combinação do estilo contemporâneo com a tradição do Velho Mundo os vinhos africanos conquistaram o paladar de todos. A cidade de Paarl, em Westerm Cape, é a porta de entrada para as vinícolas da região e é onde acontece o leilão Nederburg Auction.

O evento é o mais antigo do Novo Mundo e está entre os principais do planeta, ao lado dos leilões de Hospice de Beaune na França e na Kloster Eberbach na Alemanha. Realizado anualmente, chega à sua 40º edição e acontecerá nos dias 12 e 13 de setembro.

Criado em 1791, a Nederburg está entre as mais conceituadas vinícolas do país. O primeiro leilão aconteceu em 1975, em conjunto com quatro outras casas. Desde então, o número de participantes é cada vez maior. Seu objetivo é promover o vinho local, divulgar os avanços do país na área e, ao lado disso, criar um canal para venda de safras antigas e recentes.

Ao todo, 112 vinhos participarão do evento dispondo vinhos para provas e oferecendo um amplo painel da vinicultura sul-africana. Os compradores e especialistas além das degustações também participarão de eventos que valorizam a cultura local.

Os rótulos Port, Edelkeur – o primeiro a participar do leilão em 1975, e Eminence – exclusivo para os compradores do Auction, são alguns dos rótulos da Nederburg que estão na prévia de produtos a serem leiloados.

Largest wine auction reaches the New World 40th edition

With a rare combination of contemporary style with old-world tradition African wines have won everyone’s palate. The town of Paarl in Cape Westerm is the gateway to the wineries of the region and is where the Nederburg Auction auction happens.

The event is the oldest in the New World and is among the top in the world, next to the Hospice de Beaune auction in France and Kloster Eberbach in Germany when. Held annually, reaches its 40th edition and will take place on 12 and 13 September.

Created in 1791, the Nederburg is among the most prestigious wineries in the country. The first auction took place in 1975, together with four other houses. Since then, the number of participants is increasing. In all, 112 wines attend the event featuring wines for tastings and offering a broad panel of South African winemaking. Buyers and experts beyond the tastings will also participate in events that value local culture.

Port labels, Edelkeur – the first to participate in the auction in 1975, and Eminence – exclusive for buyers of the Auction, are some of the labels that are on the Nederburg prior to products being auctioned.
